With a few months until the first 2017 Formula 1 cars are revealed, we can’t stop thinking about what they’ll look like. These concept designs give us a good idea.
The post-Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Pirelli test gave us another glimpse at what the wider, meaner 2017 F1 tyres will look like.
It was the first time Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari had all taken to the track together while developing the new range of tyres.
The 25% wider tyres look downright incredible, with a proper retro feel. Graphic designer Sean Bull has gone one step further and created these mock-ups of what the F1 2017 cars could look like.
Next season will see major changes to the aero rules, with wider and lower rear wings and bigger front wings.
Following on from his reverse retro liveries, Bull’s F1 2017 concept designs give us a look at what the cars will look like next year with the wider tyres tested at the Yas Marina Circuit after Abu Dhabi.
There’s even a comparison of what F1 2017 could be like alongside the modified 2015 ‘mule’ car Red Bull used to test with.
It looks pretty promising, doesn’t it?
