Formula One are trying to make it big in American but they’ve not done themselves any favours after some useless organisation of Saturday’s action at COTA.
Fans were told to stay away from the circuit due to flood warnings in Texas and they haven’t even opened the gates to the track yet… somehow though, the cars are out for Free Practice 3 in appalling conditions and in front of no fans.

So yeah, not opening the gates for the circuit until 12 am and then running Free Practice 3 at 10 am. Genius, absolute genius.
With weather expected to get even worse later in the day too, FP3 could well be the only running we see all day… and the fans are stuck outside the circuit.
Extraordinary situation where FP3 goes ahead so we get a show for the fans – and the fans are locked out for next the next two hours!
