You can tell winter break has started when we’re covering a dog in an advert. However, this isn’t just ANY dog; it’s Roscoe – the most iconic four-legged friend in the F1 paddock. And he’s the star of a new advert for the food delivery service Zapp.
In the video, Roscoe’s owner, Lewis Hamilton, gives him a quick FaceTime to say the F1 season has finished and he’s on his way home. Roscoe then uses the app, which the seven-time champ is an investor in, to organise a “welcome home” party. TOO CUTE.
Tbh, some of the acting we see from Roscoe makes us want to campaign for a ‘best performance from an animal’ award at the Oscars 👏
The advert is one in a long line of adverts we’ve seen F1 drivers feature in. Who could forget the incredible ‘anything you can do, I can do better’ ad that featured Hamilton and Fernando Alonso from 2007? Seriously, if you’ve not seen it, watch it RIGHT NOW.
As for Roscoe, we think he’s got a bright future ahead of him in his acting career. Putting on performances like that seems to be a walk in the park. Sorry, we’ll see ourselves out.
We’ve gone barking mad. That’s what having no F1 until March will do to someone.
