Jenson Button has gone into full I-don’t-give-a-shit-mode recently with some hilarious and honest interviews and now it seems the press have learnt why.
According to the British Press, the 2009 World Champion will announce his retirement at the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix and if it is indeed true, can you really blame him?
His McLaren Honda team have been nothing short of useless this year and despite a lot of promises from Honda about an improved power unit, it seems things aren’t going to get much better at McLaren any time soon.
During the Singapore Grand Prix Button made plenty of radio broadcast which suggests he doesn’t care what he says any more, even calling Pastor Maldonado “mental” after colliding with the Lotus driver.
This post-qualifying interview with Sky Sports F1 shows just how much he doesn’t care about the McLaren PR any more.
Button leaving would likely make way for young superstar Stoffel Vandoorne, who is currently dominating the GP2 Series. Enjoy being at the front while you can, Stoffel.
