We’ve recently shown you an onboard video of a past master around Monaco; now it’s time for a current master. This is an onboard of German GT ace and former Porsche Supercup champion Frank Stippler in a Maserati 250F at the 2014 Historic Grand Prix of Monaco and if you thought historic racing was little more than a gentle parade of classic cars, you thought wrong. Sit back and enjoy the wonderful sight of power oversteer as Stippler has to negotiate backmarkers through the tricky streets whilst dealing with lunges and battling hard for second place. And the sound…oh, the sound!
After the race there’s a nice touch as the camera is left rolling for the classic Monaco podium celebrations and the lap back to the paddock. The Historic GP of Monaco takes place every two years and fully deserves a place on anyone’s motor racing bucket list.
