Max Verstappen Calls For A Rebrand Of His Formula 1 ‘Post-Race Podcast’ – WTF1

Max Verstappen Calls For A Rebrand Of His Formula 1 ‘Post-Race Podcast’

We think a post-race podcast from Max Verstappen would actually be quite entertaining. After being so far ahead of everyone else this season, he’s probably watched most of the action on the big screens as he whizzes past, and we think he’d provide a wonderful insight into the world of F1.

Unfortunately, when we say post-race podcast, we actually mean the cool-down room, but now, Max Verstappen wants a rebrand! 😮

The joke started at the British GP when a photoshopped photo (we like to believe it’s real, to be honest) emerged on social media that featured Max Verstappen, Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton, wearing headsets, chatting in the cool-down room after the race.

Between them was an extensive podcast set-up of laptops and microphones.

At that point of the season, Max Verstappen was on his 10th consecutive win and 12th podium, so the cool-down room was renamed the Max Verstappen Post-Race Podcast. Got a ring to it, hasn’t it?

Whilst some drivers have made more regular appearances on the “podcast”, such as Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez, more recently, we’ve seen the odd featured guest of Esteban Ocon, George Russell, Pierre Gasly and now, our newest invitee, Oscar Piastri.

Talking in the Japanese GP post-race press conference, Max was asked how much he enjoyed hosting other drivers on his podcast but revealed he’d like a rebrand.

He said: “Yeah, I don’t even know who came up with that because I don’t even like podcasts, they make me fall asleep. So I don’t know. Maybe we can call it something different. Or come up with something a bit more fun.”

Oscar interjected: “Yeah, I don’t know, I was just happy to be a guest.” 😂

Okay, no more podcasts. What about the Max Verstappen Post-Race quiz show?
