The son of the great Michael Schumacher – Mick, has completed his first race in single seater cars as the top rookie, and finishing ninth overall out of 35 starters at the opening round of the season at Oschersleben.
The younger Schumacher, aged 16, completed his first ever race in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship as the top rookie, having climbed up ten places from his starting position. The series runs a rookies’ championship in addition to the full championship.

Schumacher races for Van Amersfoort Racing – the team that Max Verstappen drove for in the FIA Formula 3 Championship last year. One of his team mates is Harrison Newey, son of Red Bull’s Adrian Newey.
The second and third races at Oschersleben take place on Sunday, and the series will head to multiple current and former F1 venues including the Red Bull Ring, Nurburgring, Hockenheimring and Spa-Francorchamps.
