Fernando Alonso said he wanted to prove himself racing in any machinery and he certainly did that on his IndyCar and oval racing debut at the Indianapolis 500. The two-time F1 champion ran at the front for much of the race before his Honda engine blew with just 20 laps to go.
Another showcase of his supreme skill was this ridiculous save, as Alonso got a bit too low into the corner and had a pretty big moment at 220 mph.
We’ve already seen before that Fernando is pretty good at saving a race car.
